This weekend I did a different kind of photo shoot and now I’m in the depths of editing. So what kind of shoot was it? It was a maternity session! First maternity shoot for me with first time parents to be.
I culled loads of ideas from Pinterest (it truly can be your inspirational friend) and spent one whole afternoon driving around looking for the ideal location for the shoot. As it turned out, one of my favorite places to go every year for macro photography ended up being the best setting – the Whetsone Park of Roses.
Here is one shot from the session which has a cute backstory. I knew I wanted to use a pumpkin as a prop but could only find really large ones or tiny ones, so I didn’t bring one. Fortune smiled upon me though and left me this pumpkin at the park; apparently from a prior toddler shoot as it had 18 months written on one side.
Worked out perfectly…
You amaze me! We will think of you tonight. Ingrid and Al are coming over. We might send you a text! Oh darn. 3 hour difference though.
Send away! If I don’t answer until tomorrow you’ll know why 😉 Have a margarita for me!
I am slowly inching my way back to this bloggin’ thing!
None you worry…it will be here when you get here 🙂
🤗
Very cute!
Thanks. I was thrilled there was actually a tree there with great leaves. Most trees around are just green or dead brown leaves.
Yes, perfect! Very sweet…
Thank you.
