Gallery Hopping – Part 1

My first ever gallery hop was a success… a hot and humid one but a great experience none the less.  There were galleries with stunning works of art by the featured Harlem Renaissance artists as well as artists who were hawking their wares and playing their music all along High Street.

Some galleries, as you can see here, had live music for their guests and many had wine and little snacks too.  My initial goal was to meet each of the twelve artists from the new mural series but that didn’t quite pan out.  Neither did taking a lot of photos because I went from photographer to art fan (albeit with very shallow pockets) as I stopped to take in the art and speak with some of the artists about their creative process.

It was inspiring and fun.

Sounds like you had a great time. A nice variety of art I presume.

Fun to hop in and out of galleries and catch a few tunes along the way.
