On the road to…going up!

Not quite to our destination but almost there.  It was my first time ever in a cable car and if you follow the cable lines down you will eventually find the parking lot which gives you a bit of perspective as to how far up we had traveled!  Ultimately we would be taken up 650 meters (2132 feet) to get to…

You didn’t ride the Sandia Peak Tramway when you were in Albuquerque in 2016? Cable cars are fun.

    • Nope, didn’t ride that tramway. Thought about it but the view from the balloon was better and they are fun!

But there’s nothing like hanging on the longest span of unsupported cable in the US with 1000 feet to the bottom of the canyon below. But then, if you had to choose between the Tram and going up in a pink elephant balloon, you definitely made the right choice. The Tram is there for another trip out west. Flying in a pink elephant might just be a once in a lifetime experience.

      • Very true. BTW – the pink elephant is now sporting a crown and is Princess Nelly now.
