A hunting we will go

We were out looking for some wood ducks that we had been told might be here in the Delaware State Park.  No such luck I’m afraid but we did meet this hunter with his shotgun and two dogs that he was training for duck hunting.

While I am not a fan of hunting (unless you are doing it for food, the animal isn’t endangered and definitely NOT big game hunting) we had an interesting conversation about how he was getting his dogs, especially the younger pup, ready for the upcoming duck season.

All I could think about after he said that was… Duck season! Wabbit season!
