The Oculus is located in lower Manhattan and is a shopping mall as well as a transportation hub. It’s also a magnificent piece of architecture; a $4 billion dollar train station and shopping center. This structure is also the Path train stop for the One World Trade Center and a connection to other NYC subway routes. Read more about it here.
And it is also a magnificent place to people watch. More about that later.

It’s quite the building. It was just about to open last time I was in Manhattan, so I never got to see inside. Thanks for sharing.
If you get back to Manhattan it is a must see. It is amazing. Thanks.
Lovely photos! Somewhat resembling the Nautilus and Captain Nemo would be so so proud.
Thank you. I read somewhere that the idea was supposed to be the wings of a dove in light of where it is situated.
That might be a better connotation since doves do represent peace and the Oculus is on the 9/11 premises.
Never was there when I went… may need to get back!
Oh it is a must see!
Cool. A great photographic location inside and out. I had a meal in the Eataly there. 🙂 I’m glad you went to NYC. I remember you telling me you hadn’t been for quite a while.
Missed the Eataly. It was a last minute opportunity and I jumped on it and very happy I did. Thanks.
Very interesting architecture.
It really is beautiful.
Interesting structure of the mall.!😀
That it is! 🙂
