The sands of time are winding down and old man 2018 is getting ready to shuffle off to make room for the new baby 2019. I didn’t get to meet any of you fellow bloggers this year as I have in the past but then again I made new friends from blogging, photographing and traveling. One meetup here in Ohio led to meeting a bunch of local fellow photographers as well as a gig photographing events for a local non-profit!
Our trip to Scotland was fantastic and the only thing that could’ve topped it was me slowing down to enjoy more of it longer. Note to self: you don’t have to cram in everything! I finally got back to NYC after too long a time away and saw parts of it I’d not seen before.
I’ve photographed in the snow, heat, night and pouring rain and while I was a bit uncomfortable, I learned from each shoot. We even stood in line in the cold with a bunch of fellow photographers to have a chance to win $500. A guy ten spots in line behind us got it but it was fun to do. Many things that happened this past year were memorable but then there were some that I wish hadn’t happened.
I had an injury that slowed me down for some months, both sides of the family have had some health issues that had and still have us concerned. There are, sadly, health problems that do not have a cure yet I’m afraid. And there was a death in my family which shocked and hurt us to our very hearts; no one should ever have to experience such a thing especially of someone so young.
Having said all that, I will be taking some time off along with DH to relax and play around with the goodies that were left under the tree for me. I will be posting on Instagram @imagesbytd but this will be the last blog post until sometime in January. Here’s to a great 2019 for all of us ♥
