Happy Trails

Since I took these photos the end of February parts of Arizona have just exploded with greenery and blooms; usually not something you think of when you hear ‘Arizonan desert’ is it?  But because of the unusual amount of rain Arizona and California have experienced so far this year, these areas which normally are more drought than damp are in full blooming glory.

At least I got to see a few of the beginning blooms and the rare snow on the Superstition Mountains when I was there.  Have you ever traveled somewhere particularly to experience a specific event like an eclipse, a sunrise or sunset, a super bloom, etc.?  Or have you been someplace when a once in a lifetime (or not too terribly often) event happened?  Would love to hear all about it.

(On a side note – today is the first day of Spring in this hemisphere but here this morning there is frost on everything and it is 28 F.  Enough with the cold already!)
