Hot fun in the summer time

It’s here! Summer time! And that means busy time here in Ohio and for me.  I’ve attended some kind of event (parade, fashion show, party) almost every weekend for the past several weeks which has kept me very busy being there and then afterwards editing photos.

The most recent events that had me busy were a friends anniversary party at a local tavern and a big annual festival in Columbus called Comfest.  Comfest has been held in Goodale Park since 1972; it’s a large free, non-corporate, volunteer driven art, food and music festival.  I liken it to a mini Woodstock in that there is always a lot of tie dye, bands, people dancing barefoot, sometimes mud (one year a day of it had to be cancelled due to a torrential downpour) and food and drink… and very interesting apparel.

It’s held the last weekend in June for three days and it’s a load of fun although this year I got a bit of a sunburn on my back from the 90+ degree heat and full sun.  Everyone was hot and sweaty but having a grand time and I always look forward to the freshly squeezed lemonade for cool sweet relief.

The end… 😉
