That’s what the past two weeks have felt like – being lost in time and space! If things could go upside down and inside out, guess what? They did! And with more panache than was really necessary but if you’re going to do it then do it with gusto.
I won’t bore you with the gory details other than a computer that needed to be upgraded because of the overlord Microsoft was tinkered on and then it stopped working – well, it stopped working the way it used to and now “works” a new way which I am having to McGyver to use.
That was going to be rectified but Murphy and his law decided to become an unwanted guest resulting in a lot of time spent in doctor’s offices and getting a bit of emergency surgery done which has thrown a big spanner into life. It happens but wish it hadn’t. Then elderly family members had multiple visits to emergency rooms and much time was spent on phones trying to deal with that and being worried.
I could swear it’s been longer than just two weeks; it just feels like that and then some. So that’s why I’ve been away from posting here. Today was yet another doctor visit in freezing rain – are we having fun yet? But all is well and I went outside into the front yard to do some macro shots.
Macro photography is both frustrating and single mindedly soothing…. if that makes sense. So here we have a macro and a close crop of the same subject of a bush with stems, leaves and buds encased in beautiful ice. The beautiful patterns water makes when frozen just amazes me.
Ice like this I enjoy. Ice on the roads – no!

Sounds like an awful couple of weeks. Hope you’re making a full recovery from the surgery. 2020 has made a bothersome start for many.
Thanks and it’s been a troublesome start of 2020 for many. Oh and while nerves are frayed and I’m meeting myself coming and going, the surgery was on DH not me.
Nice photos of iciness. It’s been cold here.
Thanks, Tim.
It looks rather chilly there.
That day it was, then it snowed, now it’s raining! Sheesh!
Mother Nature needs to make up her mind.
What? And make life simple? LOL
Beautiful ice photos, Teri. I am sorry the last 2 weeks have been rough. Hope things are looking up in your world soon!
Thank you, Lavinia. Things are starting to improve and mend and for that I am both thankful and relieved!
