Happy Easter

This Easter is a different one from any I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime.  Church services are online, family dinners are restricted (mostly or should be anyway) to those who live in the residence with you, children are having egg hunts in their homes or back yards and the attire for the day will most likely include pj’s, sweats and other comfy stay at home clothing… Easter bonnets are optional.

And then there are those whose Easter attire is scrubs, shields, masks and gloves taking care of the ones who are in hospital gown and possibly connected to IV’s and respirators.  No matter where you are or how you may or may not celebrate let us give thanks for those who are keeping us going through this pandemic and for those who are struggling with it.

If possible and if you go pick up a food order, tip a bit more than usual and tell them thank you for working during these times.  Check up on friends and loved ones by phone, text, Zoom, Skype, Messenger, etc.  Don’t try to purchase more paper towels, toilet paper and bleach than you will ever use the rest of the year; remember there may be someone who really needs it!  And while we may be getting cabin fever give thanks that it is the only fever you have!
