When you feel drained of color…

Sunflowers are such beautiful flowers to me. They remind me of summertime and warm sunny skies but this morning, monochrome Monday is a reflection of a drained of color few weeks here in my neck of the internet.

So much is still happening in the world and there are times when I just don’t have the energy to push through, even if there have been bright moments. Cumulative effect and all that. There’s been some major changes in our extended family that have rattled the cages of our clan severely. We are dealing with those things one day at a time but as I’ve stated, cumulative effect.

The past two weeks have been very difficult and I guess I hit my breaking point so there are doctor appointments to be made – providing I can get them and providing they are in network because by the end of this week an entire network of providers may be out of contract with our insurance company.

The hits just keep coming.

Be in the moment, positive thoughts, eat healthier, exercise, get outdoors… etc. etc. Yeah, whatever. So for today here is my monochrome take on a beautiful sunflower. Tomorrow I hope to continue sharing my walk through the sunflower fields in beautiful color.

Until then – Teri

Teri your b&w sunflower is exquisite and unique! I am so sorry to hear about the unwelcome challenges that you and your family are saddled with, and I hear you about our complicated health insurance process – I once received a $201,000 bill for a one-day hospital procedure. Thinking of you and hoping you see brighter times ahead. Best, Babsje
