St. Charles Christmas Traditions Part 5: Singing and Dancing

The parade began with local schools/groups singing Christmas carols but what I really enjoyed were the marchers in period wear dancing and singing. I wonder if during Dickens time did this ever occur or is that strictly just in the movies. None the less… it was wonderful watching them perform and seeing the amazing costumes they wore.

Normally, I imagine they are quite comfortable in these costumes as December is usually “brisk” but this day it was in the low 60’s. No weird weather withered these performers.
