It was 11 years ago today…

That I made my first blog post. A lot and I mean a LOT has changed since then in blogging, in the world and with me. Come to think of it, I may have been in physical therapy when I first started blogging for the same problem as I’m dealing with now. The recent MRI showed that there was advancement (and not for the better) in my situation but we just keep trudging along, don’t we?

Changes otherwise? Well haven’t we all gotten a bit older, some of us have moved to new areas, families have grown or shrunk and technology has advanced in leaps and bounds. I’ve moved from a Canon T2i to a Sony A1 and I have actually gotten a wee bit of a grip on Photoshop.

Lately with my health being wonky I’ve not done much photography. I do when I have good days and when I don’t…well I don’t do much. I need to look into changing my diet to hopefully give me more energy and less other problems but sometimes it comes down to do you want to enjoy your meal and deal with issues later or avoid the joy of eating that yummy whatever.

Choices! Choices!

Summer is winding down and I will miss it but not the mosquitoes! They can all move to Antarctica! Then again, autumn ain’t too shabby especially if the leaves get enough of what they need to put on a show…we shall see. So happy I’m still standing in the blogging world to me and thank you to everyone who has followed from long ago to just recently.

Here are a few images I took recently on a semi-good day. I didn’t get a good shot of what I was going for but instead got other goodies. “You can’t always get what you want but if you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need” or so the song goes.

I especially like the backlit second photo. The color really shines. And I laughed at your quote from the song. I’ve used it myself; it certainly applies across a variety of circumstances.

  2. Wow! 11 years of blogging! Congratulations 🎉 Gorgeous photos! Wish you all the best!

  4. Congratulations on your 10th anniversary. Our 10th was in Jan of this year so it seems we started blogging about at the same time… These are quite nice images and sorry to hear your health isn’t so good and crossing fingers it gets better soon. (Suzanne)

Happy blogaversary from one of your early followers turned real life friends. Ah, the food and energy issues are so frustrating. Yesterday I could barely function after too much indulging on my birthday. Today it’s back to the grindstone.

Always nice to see images from the macro queen. Sending healing vibes and cyber hugs. 🙂

Happy 11th blogging anniversary! I passed my 9th this summer. Those are beautiful photos, Teri. Where I am, summers are pretty dry, and I rarely get bitten by a mosquito.

Sending best wishes for a full recovery, Teri.
