There are some things that after having photographed them time and time again I just don’t want to anymore; waterlilies are not one of them. I look forward to them appearing every year at this one industrial park and even though I have been told by security to move my car once or twice, it doesn’t deter me. Waterlilies make me want to sit and just be still with them – even though that never has happened as I am going back and forth with a camera – and remind me that one day I would love to see them in Giverny in Monet’s garden.
Maybe one day…
In the front garden of a beautiful old home in Delaware, Ohio. The owners have the perfect spot to enjoy summer from their patio; wonder if the back yard is just as lovely?
Yellow is such a cheerful color to me. It is the color of the sun, of lemons for lemonade, of daffodils, daisies and butter. This tree stood in the middle of Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, Florida. I don’t think I saw another one like it while we were there and I have no idea what kind of tree it is but I was drawn to it. When the breeze blew the trumpet shaped flowers would float down like beautiful yellow confetti.
I enjoyed standing under it and letting the flowers float over me once I was finished taking these photos.
