Sunshine Superman

This Lady’s Slipper orchid just made me think of that song with it’s bright yellow and green colors and the light shining through it.

Oncidium in formation

This stem of Oncidium orchids reminds me of choreographed dancers that are all in line one in front of the other and that fan out on cue.

Oncidium Wildcat ‘Yellow’

I’ve often come upon a species of butterfly that I’ve never seen before when I visit butterfly exhibits but not so much with orchids.  I’m starting to get the hang of the names of the orchids when their show returns here each year.   So far I haven’t been surprised by any new ones but that could change – I hope so.

Rainbow Sorbet – Florabunda

One of my favorites to say hello to when I visit the roses each year.  I think there actually is a rainbow sorbet out there somewhere to eat.  It’s summer, it’s hot, I think I will go try to find some.  Have a great weekend!

Bullseye

Bullseye (sometimes spelled Bull’s Eye) is a shrub rose that is said to have a sweet spice fragrance, is nearly thornless and very resistant to black spot.  Sounds like something I stand a chance of being able to grow.
