Texting in Vegas

I don’t think he was wearing blue suede shoes
and who knows if he had been on a plane
He has touched down in the land of gambling
his wallet was about to be in pain
He saw an impersonator of Elvis
walked past him as he did his thing
His thumbs were busy writing a message
hoping the receiver would reply to the ding
He was texting in Vegas
walking with his feet heading towards a meal
Texting in Vegas
But do we really know what was the real deal…
(Tip of the hat to Walking in Memphis by Marc Cohn)

Habitual texting is going turn us into hunched over dullards.

It’s already caused accidents, neck and shoulder muscle issues and the decline in the ability to write complete sentences.

Very good…..I did not see the Marc Cohen tie in until the end, but the tune was already going through my head.

Since the one time I’ve been to Vegas I stayed at the Mirage, this is a double perfect perspective — the lyrics AND the photographic composition! 🙂
