Looking in or out?

Walking along High Street in downtown Columbus, Ohio I stopped when my eye caught ‘him’ staring at me.  As I did not want my reflection in the window I shot this image from an angle.  This actually shows what was going on at that moment from multiple vantage points.

Is he in the restaurant looking out or is he outside looking in?

If you guessed outside looking in you are correct.  As a matter of fact, he is across the street looking in.  He probably is hoping that a new restaurant opens up in this spot as this one has closed since I took this photo.  That restaurant really did make some great sweet potato fries but their music was often too loud.

Enjoy your weekend – Teri  📷

I never would have thought it was across the street! What an amazing reflection!

The mystery window is fantastic. Ah heck you gave it away. Little time to ponder the question, the mystery about the familiar face in the window of whether he’s Inside Looking Out (remember Grand Funk Railroad?) or Outside Looking In (there’s Jordan Pruitt’s pouty school girl photo shoot). Even with the mystery solved, It’s a super art commentary of the art of quoting folk art.

Awesome picture my friend. Great “eye”. Snorts with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon

Well done. Very. Isn’t that a Norman Rockwell painting?

    • Thank you. No, it’s American Gothic by Grant Wood but I have no idea who put it on the side of the building there.

You are absolutely right. And I’ve been wrong for so many years. 🙂 Thanks for enlightening me. I did not know about Grant wood. (Learned something new. Thank you)
The street art is an hommage. Like you can see Botticelli in the streets of Florence.
        Merci encore.

  5. Hah! That’s a good question..at first glance, it looks like it comes from the inside…kinda freaky 😀 Have a great weekend to you too!!

  6. Oh, that poor upside-down woman. She’s either very sick and trying to get good blood flow to the brain, or she’s going to have a huge headache in the morning.
