I hope everyone enjoyed their celebrating last night whether you stayed in warm and cozy or went out and partied with the best of them. We stayed in warm and cozy (it was snowing – again!) but as tradition dictates, we watched the ball in Times Square drop to ring in the new year. We were actually there to ring in the new 2009 and I still have a few bits of confetti as a souvenir. Let me tell you it was COLD but rippling with energy. We’ve been back to NYC many times since then and visiting Times Square is always a must.
So here we are – somewhere – mugging for the cameras that projected everyone standing in a certain spot of Times Square to this jumbo-tron. Although taken in September 2012 (my that sounds long ago now) this is our Happy New Year greeting to you from Times Square 🙂
How cool was that? Happy New Year, Teri!
Indeedy! But did you find us? (just say yes or no so you don’t give it away)
I “thought” I found you — and then you said “us.” Now I’m not so sure. I’ll ‘fess up if I’m wrong once you tell us. Until then, I need to check that photo again. 🙂
Times Square must be a fabulous place to be on New Year’s!! We’re just so boring and quiet on New Year’s these past few years.. a nice dinner and to bed way before any ball drops:D Here’s to a wonderful 2013!!!
It’s an interesting place to be for NYE to say the least! LOL But comfy, warm, and boring works for me now. Although we did do NYE on the Las Vegas strip on time and that was fantastic!
For those wondering (and those who weren’t even) look at bottom of picture, behind some words someone is holding a camera, the someone right behind her is the infamous DH 🙂
I am desperate to get to NY.. I am going to take the train one day, just for fun! now I must go back and look behind the words, very poetic! c
Thank you. Taking the train into NY is fun! As DH has to go their periodically for work I forsee a return trip…but not till it’s warmer! brrrrrrrrr
you will be needing long johns! me too tho, I am not going anywhere until it warms up.. c
